In the night, went Chinatown with my family to buy New Year goodies. Partly, we wanted to join in the crowd and get a feel of the New Year mood. Hmmm! This means that Chinese New Year is coming which also means collecting ang pows! Ah! So excited! Just can’t wait!...... Luckily it was nt as crowded as I expected. I think New Year’s Eve will be the most crowded. Don’t really like squeezing but it’s alright, once a year. Practically, we were just looking ard, didn’t buy much cuz mum alr ordered. Dad bought a shirt, very nice like those ethnic kind. Cool! Seems like the New Year mood is coming……! Later, we went Maxwell Food Centre to have supper. Hmmm… e right time! I was feeling a little hungry act… Ate popiah, ice kachang, rojak…… YUM! After tt, we took the Nel back, fr Chinatown to Serangoon. As we were walking towards Chinatown stn, we walked passed my grandma’s hse( Havelock Rd). As I was walking, it reminds me of my grandma who used to bring me ard Chinatown Point Shopping Centre, to the market, the bank…… It really brought back lots of childhood memories and I will never ever forget this place especially my beloved grandma. I love u MAMA! As we were crossing the road, my dad pointed to a particular spot and said last time he used to work there at the Bata shop owned by my grandpa and I guess this is where my dad met my mum……! :)

In the afternoon, went town with Doreen to accompany her to do her last min New Year Shopping. Both of us bought a top fr Forever 21, soon after, Becca joined us. Tried lots of clothes which means more things are added to my shopping list…! Will probably buy after CNY…… Wanted to go Bugis but there’s nt much time as I need to rush back for my reunion dinner(father’s side) and Doreen had to go off to watch the basketball match. I went off first and took a cab cuz I am late and is nt good to let my uncle wait. Guess wat? As the cab drove passed Paragon, I saw two EXTREMELY TALL, HUGE black men crossing the road. They were VERY OUTSTANDING! They had broad shoulders and about two times the height of a typical Singaporean. At first, I thought I saw wrongly but I turned back and looked agn, it was real. I thought I could only see this on television maybe programs like GuinnessBook of Record(The two tallest men in the world!). I am nt sure… Reached home at ard 6 plus but my uncle n aunt have nt reached yet. Hai~ should nt have taken cab. It’s been a long time since I last ate steamboat, shall eat more…… Tml will be having reunion dinner with my Mum’s side. Just love that kind of feeling eating together as a family. FAMILY means OHANA which means NO ONE GETS FORGOTTON OR LEFT BEHIND!:)
